How to wear stackable rings? I don’t think there is a wrong way to wear stackable rings. Combining different metals is very popular. Rose gold with sterling silver, for instance. I happen to use these in my handmade Triple Rope Ring. You could also combine yellow gold with rose gold. Don’t forget to mix textures. Rope, or hammered both go with smooth and each other. Check for old rings you might have and see if you can add new rings and form a new design.
I don’t believe there are any hard and fast rules on how many rings to stack. I’ve seen two rings stacked together and five rings stacked together, both ways are beautiful. At the moment on my right middle finger, I am wearing two sterling silver rings one smooth the other textured and they are in the center of two rose gold hammered rings. They look great, it looks like I am only wearing one ring. Wearing one ring is perfectly fine. The minimalist look is very clean and simple. It looks great. You can also combine thicknesses. Wide rings stacked with thin rings.
I view jewelry as wearable art. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and whatever you like is what is right. Don’t worry about how many rings your friends are stacking. Don’t worry about the lady working in the department store jewelry section and what she thinks. Stack as many as you like in the colors and textures you love best. Make yourself happy. Because that is what counts, my friends. 😉
